For centuries, the authentic blue stone extracted from our quarries is unique and emblematic of Belgium.
It was extracted and manufactured by the company “Pierre Bleue Belge s.a.” to decorate very beautiful Belgian and foreign architectures.
One can thus admire in Belgium: the arcade of the Cinquantenaire, the facades of Victor Horta, the great palace of the Centenary, the Royal Galleries of Brussels.
Internationally, the library of the university of Strasbourg, the Filmmuseum Eye in Amsterdam, Leipzig airport are decked out with it.
Some artists have also used Belgian blue stone, such as the sculptor Martin Hollebecq, or Eugène Dodeigne.
Its polishing, its infinite possibilities of finishes and its patina are true sources of inspiration.
